The Grand Final

For those of you interested, the soccer grand final was played yesterday.
The team that beat Gymea ended up beating Menai by 4 goals to 1!!! Talking to some of the guys today, we can be really positive about how close we came this year.
With a bit more luck and no injuries, we could win next year : )

Last game of Season 2004

Well, with only the Grand Final to get to, Gymea Baps Soccer team could not find that magic strike to draw 1-1 level with South Hurstville. We (the good guys) went down 1-0 in a tough game.
There were a number of quality shots on goal by Gymea with a couple from the half way mark : )
A great goal keeping effort by "The Merch" who has been outstanding this season.
Team thanks must go to Captain Sean Johns (goal scoring genius) and Team Official (and part time Sports Writer) Mark Drury for their efforts in season 2004.
We will be back for season 2005 which starts in April...........

The taste of great coffee

As many of you know, I am somewhat of a coffee drinker. I love the taste of fresh brewed coffee.
So, after learning to drive my coffee machine for 18months, I thought it was time to have some training.

A mate found a Barista Basics course in Artarmon which was great.

The two brothers, Matt and David Gee, spent 3 hours with us and some very shmick espresso machines that are definitely "canoe class".
My little Quaha machine was feeling a tad inadequate, but the espresso's from mine were just as good as what the $10K machines were producing : )
Milk frothing or "stretching" was more tricky with my home version, but after a bit of practice it was producing smooth, creamy milk for cap's and latte's.
The guys even produced a video of the coffee menu to remind us how to do it right.

A great night out..............

A tough win!!

Well, after the end of the regular season for the Gymea Baptist soccer team, today could have been our last game, but, due to some very tough midfield performances and some timely finishing by the team captain, the team live to the second semi next Saturday.
Special mention to Greg who so nearly won the game, but didn't.

Potty success

For those who really want to know, at 6:40pm tonight, Kiera successfully delivered a Number 2 into the potty for the first time!! There was much joy and celebration with clapping of hands. I think that counts as over the top excitement as we are supposed to provide : )
Sad.....but true.

First day of Client Services

Most people would say that talking about work is rather dull, but since this is a general blog, I think any topic is relevant for posting by any participant.
So, after a day of presentations, I have now started in this new Client Services organisation as part of the Data Center practice.
Tomorrow I find out more about this practice and how I work with customers I hope.
